The Big Brother!

Jake decided to try out Austin's toy and had a great time. He even put down a blanket under the toy like I do when I lay Austin down. It is so funny how little kids copy things you don't even think they notice.

Jake decided to give his little brother a kiss. How sweet! Jake still doesn't pay much attention to Austin. A couple times a day Jake will come up to me and say "Look, it's a baby!" and point to Austin. He has called him "Austin" a couple of times, but mostly calls him "baby".

We bought Austin a new mobile for his crib and Jake had to check it out. We let him lay next to Austin as long as he stayed down. I thought it was too cute them both staring up at the mobile.

Austin

Austin will be five weeks old tomorrow! I can't believe how fast the month has gone by. Austin had his 1 month check-up on Monday and he is doing great. Austin weighs 11 pounds 6.5 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long. He is growing so much and getting chubby cheeks. Austin is such a sweet boy! We sure do love him!

More Pictures

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks. Everything is going pretty well. Austin is such a good baby and Jake seems to be doing better adjusting to having a baby in the house.

Jake is putting his little cowboy hat that goes on his Woody doll on Austin's head. After he put the hat on he started saying "Hey Cowboy!" It was pretty funny.




Jake is liking his brother more and more. Which I just love to see.

Our cute little monkey! My parents gave Jake this bath towel for Christmas and it is so cute! I also just love to hear Jake say "monkey", it is so cute!

Jake wanted to go outside so bad, but he wouldn't put any clothes or jacket on. He just stood by the door with his snow boots and hat on, so he I wouldn't let him outside. Also it wasn't snowing outside, but Jake just loves to wear his boots. Also he can put them on all by himself!

This is the best picture so far that we have been able to get of Austin and Jake. Jake has had a little hard time adjusting to being a big brother. The first day that I came home from the hospital Jake would not even look at me or come near me. I think Jake is doing better everyday. He is very gentle with the baby. Jake does not usually sit on my lap and sit still, but now he likes to come and sit on my lap and be held when I am holding Austin.

My mom left today and everything is going ok so far. It was really hard to see her go. It was sure nice having her here.

I just wrote a whole blog and I lost it. So I can't type another post right now, but enjoy the pictures of Austin. He was one week old yesterday. He is such a sweet boy!

Pictures from Christmas

Here are some pictures from our Christmas. This was the first Christmas that we have spent in our own home. I loved spending it together with our little family. Later that day we went over to Aaron's parent's house for dinner. Grandma and Grandpa Pickup gave him this drum and he loves it. It is a good thing it is not too loud.

Jake is really into the CARS movie. This little car was his favorite present. Jake takes it everywhere, even to bed at night.

Jake loves his new bike. It was sitting next to the tree when he came out of his bedroom and he didn't want to open any presents till after he played with his bike for a while. We can't wait till it gets warmer and he can ride his bike outside.

Our baby boy is here!

Austin Douglas Seable was born on Thursday at 3:03 pm. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is doing great and is very healthy. We came home from the hospital yesterday and everything is going well. My mom came into town yesterday and it is so great having her here.

Getting bigger

I decided to show some pictures to compare. I am 7 months pregnant with Jake in this picture.


This picture is from last Sat Dec 2. I think I am not as big as I was with Jake. But I am still feeling huge and really getting uncomfortable. I am really getting anxious and counting down to the days till Dec 28th, only 18 more days. I went to the doctor last Tuesday and everything is looking good. My doctor is guessing that the baby will weight 8 1/2 pounds, so we will have to wait and see.
