It's about time

Ok, I have been such a slacker. I haven't posted on my blog in almost a month. Over the past month we have all been sick several times and life has been a little crazy. Austin and I have both had colds since last week and have both been miserable. I am so sick of winter and all the sickness. I can not wait till Spring! I posted some pictures from the last few weeks. Nothing too exciting, just the day to day stuff. Jake build a snowman back in Feb that was huge. A week later it was almost melted, but he went outside and put the carrot, rocks, and scarf back in place. I thought it was pretty funny.
Just a few cute pics of Austin

Jake playing outside.

Grandma Seable brought the boys over Valentines day cookies. They were huge and the boys loved them.

Digital Scrapbooking

Over a month ago I decided to give digital scrapbooking a try. With the help of my friend Sarah, I feel like I am starting to figure things out. I wanted to post a couple of layouts to get some opinions. I think I could really love digital scrapbooking, but I still feel like I have so much to learn.

(Sorry I can't remember where I got this paper and stitching)

Snow Snow Snow!!!

We have been so much snow latetly. I am not a big fan of the snow so we have been spending a lot of time inside. The road has been so icy that I don't go any where unless I have to. I am so ready for Spring, but in the mean time Jake is loving the snow. On Sunday we had so much snow they cancelled church! Nothing else too exciting has been going on beside the snow. Poor Austin has another infection. This is his third one since Christmas. Poor little guy. The boys have also been fighting colds. I am sooooo ready for everyone to feel better.

Jake had so much fun building a snow man with Daddy and Grandpa Seable. I couldn't believe how big the snowman turned out. Jake calls it his happy snowman! (And yes Jake has on pink gloves. They are the only water-proof ones I had.)

A Finished Project

I set a goal to finish this quilt by Christmas. My parents, Aaron, and Aaron's parents all went in together and gave me a really nice sewing machine for Christmas. So I waited till after I got my new machine to finish this quilt for Jake's bed. I love my new sewing machine! And I love how the quilt turned out. Jake loves his "new blanket". It feels so nice to finish a project.

winter blues

I think I have a case of the winter blues. I have been sick with a sinus infection for over a week. Austin had an ear infection 2 weeks ago and now has a cold. So we are feeling yucky and I really haven't left the house. Most days this week I haven't gotten out of my pajamas. I have been feeling awful and my house is suffering. The weather has been cold and snowy all week. Jake has been bouncing off the walls and I hate that you can't play outside more. I just can't wait till spring!

Exciting Times

I just realized that I didn't post about Travis' mission call.
On New Years Eve my brother Travis received his mission call to serve in the Mexico City East mission. Travis reports to the MTC on April 2. Travis is so excited and I love seeing how enthusiastic he is about his mission. I still can't believe my little brother is old enough to be going on a mission. I love you Travis!

"pickups"

Jake is so funny. He calls the hiccups the "pickups" I just think this is so funny, mostly because of my maiden name. I just wanted to write this down so I don't forget it. Most of the time this is my only journal.

Sunbeams

Jake went to Sunbeams for the first time yesterday. It is hard to believe that Jake is old enough to be a sunbeam. I was hoping the transition from nursery to primary would go smoother, but we survived. Jake ended up in the hallway during sharing time and singing time, because he was kicking and screaming, Lovely. I had to come and sit with him during class for a few minutes to help him settle down. We'll have to see how next Sunday goes. Jake is such an active little boy!
