I need some ideas!

Does anyone have any ideas for games for a bridal shower? I am throwing a bridal shower for my soon to be sister-in-law this weekend and need some fun ideas!

Update

I have been really bad about updating my blog. Life has been keeping me busy. I finished reading Harry Potter yesterday so now I am trying to get my house back in order. I am going down to Utah for a girls weekend tomorrow, so I will post some pictures when I get back.

These pictures are from the 4th of July, yes I know it is already July 25th, but I am a little slow about posting stuff.

I love this picture of my boys. We went on a bike ride a couple of weeks ago for the first time with Austin. You could tell he was a little nervous because as soon as Aaron took off we grabbed on to Jake's arm and didn't let go till the our ride was over.

This was on our anniversary. Aaron's mom watched the boys so we could go out to dinner. I was so wonderful to get out by ourselves.

5K

Aaron and I were in our first 5K last Saturday. I was really nervous, but I survived! Sunday I was so sore I could hardly walk. Aaron is in much better shape than I am and was not sore at all. Lucky guy! I am so glad that Aaron and I did it together. It feels like a nice accomplishment! We will have to do it again next year!

Family Pictures

We had family pictures taken last week. They turned out pretty good. I really liked the first one, but Jake was crying in the picture. I didn't realize how hard it would be to get a picture with everyone smiling or a least looking at the camera.

Big Ol' Update

I have been meaning to post more about our trip to Texas, but I just haven't had a chance to. We had such a great trip, it has been hard getting back to normal life here at home. While in Texas we went swimming several times and played at the spray park. We went out to eat at Italian Villa, Spring Creek BBQ, and La Madeline's. We went shopping at the outlet mall and Ikea. I had never been to Ikea before, and I loved it! Aaron and my dad went golfing and to a Rangers game. My mom and I went and had pedicures and manicures. We got a babysitter one night and all went to the movies. This was a big deal for me since we never go to the movies and when we do it is the dollar movie and to go see a cartoon. We went to the Ft Worth zoo, which was great. Jake loved it. We saw so many animals. We went to the farmer's market in downtown Dallas. We picked up tomatoes, new potatoes, green beans, peaches, blackberries, and corn on the cob. My mom made a blackberry cobbler and we ate it with blue bell vanilla ice cream! I wasn't able to see everyone I wanted to while we were down there and was hoping to have a blogger get-together at the park when we come in September when Brian gets married, but plans have changed. Brian and Stefanie have decided to get married in Salt Lake instead of Dallas. Which will be great. But I am a little disappointed that we won't be coming back for a visit in September. But it is much easier for us to get to Utah then all the way to Texas.

Austin had his 6 month check-up last week and is doing great. He had 2 shots and hardly even cried. He weighs 20 pounds 1 ounce! I am not at all surprised, I carry that baby around all day, I knew he was heavy. Austin is such a happy guy. He has learned how to roll all over the place and is really close to sitting up by himself. He loves rice cereal and all different kinds of veggies. I am hoping that he is not going to be a picky eater like Jake. I can't believe how fast the last 6 months have gone by.

Jake is doing well too. He still isn't potty trained, but I have not been too worried about it. In April I tried putting him in pull-ups and taking him to the potty every 20 minutes and we never had any success. So I decided to wait a little longer. I am thinking that we need to try again this month. So hopefully it goes well. I am ready to be done changing his diapers! Jake had his speech evaluated last week. They said that he had a slight delay and they thought that he doesn't really use verbs. So I was all set to send him to speech therapy each week, but I just found out that our health insurance doesn't cover speech therapy! So I am hoping that he gets into a speech program through the school district which would be free. He is set to be tested in August. Jake also starts swimming lessons in a couple of weeks and I now that he is going to love it. He loves to go to the pool.

This turned out to be a really big post. Hopefully I didn't put anyone to sleep! I will post new pictures soon!

Vacation to Texas

We had such a great time in Texas last week. The week went by too fast, but we did have tons of fun. I took so many pictures.

Jake with his Grandpa and Grandma. My dad is making such a crazy face.

Trip to the Fort Worth Zoo

Me and Jake on the train at the zoo. Jake loves trains, so he was so excited.

Austin was so good at the zoo.

Jake was such a tired boy after the zoo.

Swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house

Jake playing at the park.

We were so busy the whole time we were in Texas. Jake was so tired every night. Most days he was taking naps in the car or in his stroller. Now that we are home we need to get back on our schedule.

It was so fun to see Sarah and Laura and their cute kids. I so wish that I lived in Texas and could see them more often.

Travis is such a good uncle. He loved holding baby Austin and giving him kisses.

Big Update

Things have been pretty busy at our house and I have been meaning to give an update. We are leaving for a trip to Texas tomorrow, so I will have lots of post when we get back. But here is what has been going on the past couple of weeks in the Seable household. Enjoy the pictures!

A couple of weeks ago Aaron and Jake went on a father son campout. Jake loved it. This picture of Jake hanging out in the tent before bedtime. Jake cried when Aaron pulled into the drive way when they came home. I could tell he had lots of fun because he was covered in dirt.

Austin is 5 months old now and is such a happy boy. He is such a calm, very content little guy. He rolled over for the first time a couple of weeks ago and has only done it a couple times since then. Aaron has missed each time Austin rolled over. Austin is loving his rice ceral. He tried green beans and has really liked them too. I am hoping that he is a better eater than Jake. Jake is so picky.

Austin has started staring out the window when I set him in his high chair. I think it is so cute.

Does anyone have any good ideas for keeping a 3 year old happy on an airplane? I have packed Jake some treats, but I am not sure what else will keep him busy. I don't want to have to carry around of bunch of heavy toys.

Haircut

Here are the before and after pictures of my hair. They are not the best pictures because I took them of myself, but here they are. I really like having short hair. It feels so much cooler in the hot weather and ony takes me 5 minutes to do in the mornings.
